The best thing I've ever done autobiography essay

The best thing I’ve ever done.

Every Summer I would go to my grandma’s house, I started going to her house for just a visit since i was 2 years old. Before I was born she had 2 husbands and she divorced with both. A few years later in 1985, she had cancer. It recovered twice but eventually she survived.

Then 5 years later in 1990, she found the love of her life and they got married. Her husband was called Paul. Whenever I went to my grandma’s house we usually had nothing to do. But my grandma and Paul always thought of something to do like walk down to the park, paint, draw and play with clay because, she was a artist who loves to make things and draw things. My Grandma and Paul taught me how to paint.

Paul was very funny every time I came over, we were always very close. In 2005 me and Paul made a treasure box out of wood and other things, it looked really colorful after It was done. Now I keep all the important things in it. Then In 2006 I painted a picture of my Grandma and Paul hugging each other in a big green field and a clear blue sky. My Grandma seemed to like it a lot, but I soon forgot about it.

But my Grandma didn’t know that a terrible thing was going to happen next year, in 2007. On new years day. My family and I were in Hong Kong watching a rugby game. Then my dad got a call, it was my mum saying to call Grandma. So my dad called her and my Grandma told my dad what had happened. Later that night, my dad told the whole family, what had happened. Paul had died, he had died of a heart attack.

Then a few months later I forgot about the picture I painted. When it was the summer holiday in 2007. Me and my family went to my Grandma’s house in England. Once we arrived she told me about the picture I painted, she put a beautiful frame around it. She hung it up on the wall in the best place in the house. Now that I painted a picture of my Grandma and her husband, my Grandma will never forget that picture, and it reminded her always of Paul. I think it is the best thing I have ever done.
